When we go outdoors we get active, connect with nature and even improve our mental health and stress levels. Community parks and recreation are great places to get outdoor time and time spent outdoors is good for us. But are adults even going outside regularly to gain these benefits? Are there common barriers getting in the way of outdoor time?
The 2014 NRPA Park and Recreation Month OUT is IN national survey, conducted by Ipsos Public Affairs, explores the opinions and behaviors adults in the United States have around getting outdoor time. The survey was conducted with a national sample of 1,005 U.S. adults age 18 and older from Ipsos' U.S. online panel.
