People of all ages were outside and in their local parks looking for their next Pokéstop.  Merging technology with nature is a growing segment of park and recreation activities across the country. From public Wi-Fi and free phone charging stations to interactive map-based games and apps, parks and recreation is bringing tech activities outside and into nature.

Key Findings

  • Seventy percent of Americans agree that merging technology and nature will increase children’s desire to go to parks
  • Millennials and parents are strong believers that a tech and nature merge will results in more kids wanting to go to the park (both at 77 percent)
