Accepting Congress Speed Session Proposals!

Have an exciting topic you'd like to share at Congress? Submit your idea as a speed session!Want to hear about some of the exciting stories and discover new ideas trending in parks and recreation? Have something of your own to share? NRPA is excited to announce a fresh and exhilarating speaking opportunity for our 2013 Congress and Exposition in Houston, Texas! This year, we are offering a series of quick, lively, and innovative 20-minute Speed Sessions designed to energize and inspire.

This is a great opportunity for new speakers to get their feet wet and for veteran speakers to present material in a new and unconventional manner. We are looking for a variety of topics: anything from sharing marketing and program ideas to telling an inspirational story. The sky is the limit, so think creatively and outside of the box! Audience participation is strongly encouraged—you will have 20 minutes to get your message across, so make it good!

Parameters:
• Proposals must be submitted online by Friday, February 15.
• Limit of one speaker per Speed Session
• No sales pitches of any sort are permitted
• PowerPoint presentations are not required, but are limited to five slides or fewer
• Speakers will not receive any compensation or registration discount for presenting.

And here comes the fun part….all proposals received will be put to a vote. Your fellow NRPA members will ultimately make the final selections on the topics they want to hear, so make your proposal stand out from the rest!
