See your philanthropy at work during your lifetime by giving to NRPA from your IRA. If you turned 70½ on or after Jan. 1, 2020, you can donate up to $100,000 from your traditional IRA, $100,000 each for married couples for a total of $200,000, and avoid taxes on your withdrawal. A donation from your IRA can be used to satisfy all or part of your required minimum distribution (RMD). The donation must be made by December 31 in the tax year in question. Note that the RMD requirement has been waived for 2020, per the CARES Act. You should discuss this and other advanced giving options with your tax advisor. Contact your IRA custodian to complete your donation to NRPA. For more information contact Nury Márquez at (703) 858-2163 or email@example.com.
Ensure the essential services and work of park and recreation professionals continue for generations to come by including a gift to NRPA in your will, trust, or as a beneficiary of your IRA or other retirement or life insurance plan. NRPA has partnered with FreeWill to provide tools to make planned giving easier and more accessible.
If you already benefit from donor-advised funds, you can easily support NRPA with a donation through your donor-advised fund.
Make a gift to support the essential services of park and recreation professionals in memory or honor of someone special or to celebrate an important occasion, such as a birthday, wedding, or holiday.
Many employers will match their employees’ contributions to NRPA which can double or even triple the impact of your gift. Request a matching gift from your HR department at the time you make your gift.
Support parks and recreation by designating NRPA in your workplace giving or payroll deduction work programs.
Supporting close-to-home parks and recreation can help your company to fulfill its corporate social responsibility and employee retention goals. To learn how you can partner with NRPA, contact Cassie Pais at (703) 858-2151 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
