Today, the National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) sent a joint letter to Nashville Mayor John Cooper to express our support and appreciation for his opposition to the recently enacted anti-transgender laws in the state of Tennessee.
NRPA and ASLA are in solidarity with Mayor Cooper's position on protecting full equality in public accommodations and access to public spaces for transgender and non-binary people. We applaud his efforts to stand against discriminatory laws and to ensure that residents and visitors alike feel welcome in Nashville.
