Give From Your IRA
See your philanthropy at work during your lifetime by giving to NRPA from your IRA. You must be 70½ or older at the time of the gift. You can donate up to $100,000 per year from your traditional IRA, $100,000 each for married couples for a total of $200,000, and avoid taxes on your withdrawal. If you are 72 and older, a donation from your IRA can count towards your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) in the year in which you made the gift. The RMD requirement was waived in the year 2020 as part of the CARES Act in response to COVID-19. Please discuss this and other advanced giving options with your tax advisor. Contact your IRA custodian to complete your donation to NRPA.
