November is National Diabetes Month, a time to raise awareness about diabetes and its impact on millions of Americans. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 30 million people across the country are living with diabetes and 84 million people have prediabetes, most of which are not aware that they have prediabetes.

This month, NRPA is promoting the Push For Your Health! campaign, a campaign that promotes inclusive diabetes prevention programs and practices focused on Type 2 diabetes and prediabetes. Of the 25% of Americans living with a disability, 16% are also living with diabetes. Adults with disabilities are three times more likely to have diabetes and other chronic conditions.

To bring awareness to this campaign, NRPA is partnering with the Lakeshore Foundation to offer posters that you can use to engage your community in diabetes awareness. Show off your activities during the month and how you’re using the poster by sharing your photos and videos on social media using #Push4YourHealth.

Please also share your agency's involvement in diabetes awareness using the survey at the bottom of this page for the chance to win one of two $100 Amazon gift cards
