National Day of Racial Healing Mini-Grant

With support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, NRPA is offering mini-grants to park and recreation agencies nationwide to plan, host, or promote events for the National Day of Racial Healing. Grants may support new or existing events focused on racial healing, cultural celebration, or community/staff connection and relationship building. Events must take place by February 8, 2026. Agencies may submit up to three proposals per application. Each proposal will be reviewed and awarded separately, with a stipend of $2,000 per awarded proposal (up to $6,000 total per applicant). Funding may be used for staff time, marketing, communications, incentives or compensation for advisory groups or professional facilitators, and other related activities. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and will close on November 12, or once 35 awards have been made, whichever comes first. Learn more and apply.
