Mission and Purpose of Urban Park Coalition
The Urban Parks Coalition is a coalition of like-minded national organizations and associations in support of urban parks. The primary purpose of this coalition will be to promote the role of urban parks in creating and sustaining healthy, livable communities.
The first goal will be to secure the passage of the Urban Revitalization and Livable Communities Act (URCL), introduced October 6, 2009, by Rep. Albio Sires (D-NJ) and 22 original co-sponsors.
