An estimated 227 million adults or a household member visited their local park or recreation facility last year. When asked what amenities or facilities are among the most desired for park visitors, all listed seating and shade among their top three most important park features. Open green space, trails, water features and playgrounds rounded off the top five park amenities considered most important by U.S. adults.
