The NRPA scholarship and fellowship program enables recipients to attend NRPA's National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation and Congress and Exposition. The scholarships and fellowships are offered on an annual basis.
Citizen Advocacy Scholarship
The Citizen Advocacy Scholarship provided a complimentary registration to the NRPA National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation, March 27-29, 2012 in Washington, DC. The application deadline was February 10, 2012.
Young Professional Fellowship
The NRPA Young Professional Fellowships enable outstanding young professionals to interact and learn from NRPA leaders. A primary focus of the program is to inspire future participation and leadership in the National Recreation and Park Association and to develop professional contacts for the recipients. Recipients receive a complimentary registration to the National Legislative Forum on Parks and Recreation and the Congress and Exposition. application information will be available, Spring 2012.
Diversity Scholarship
The NRPA Diversity Scholarships support individuals from historically underrepresented groups in the parks and recreation community as well as those that demonstrate outstanding contributions serving diverse communities with hopes of engaging their interest in future leadership roles within the association. Recipients receive a complimentary registration to the annual NRPA Congress and Exposition. Application information will be available Spring 2012.
