The Certified Park and Recreation Executive (CPRE) establishes a national standard for managerial, administrative, and executive parks and recreation professionals. This mastery-level credential focuses on the practical knowledge and current real-world skills necessary in today’s changing park and recreation environment.

Please Note: NRPA is currently updating its technology systems, including our integration with our professional testing partner, PSI. As a result, please be aware of the following temporary changes:

  • Applications received after Tuesday, October 27: You will receive an eligibility email with information about scheduling your examination by Thursday, November 19, at the latest.
  • Examinations: No examinations can be scheduled or taken between Friday, October 30 and Tuesday, November 17.
