October 2016: The American public lends their strength and support to policies that will ban the use of tobacco products in parks and recreation facility grounds through new Park Pulse poll.

Key Findings

  • Seventy-nine percent of Americans support policies that prohibit the use of all tobacco products at public parks and recreation facilities.
  • Nearly half (47 percent) support the ban 100 percent.
  • Parents are in strongest favor of the ban at 87 percent.
  • At 86 percent, college graduates are among the highest supporters of the ban.
