August 2016: Just in time for the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, NRPA survey shows three in five Americans are motivated to be more active when they watch athletes compete.

Key Findings

  • 61 percent of Americans say they are motivated to be more active when they watch athletes compete
  • 78 percent of Millennials, 60 percent of Gen Xers and 51 percent of Baby Boomers report they are motivated to be more active when watching athletes compete
  • 69 percent of Americans that have children in the household are motivated to be more active when watching athletes compete
