Help Select the 2013 Congress Speed Sessions

February 1, 2013, Department, by National Recreation and Park Association

We've gotten a number of great submissions for Speed Sessions at this year's Congress, and we need your help to decide who gets to present.NRPA is offering a series of quick, lively, and innovative 20-minute Speed Sessions designed to energize and inspire at the 2013 Congress and Exposition in Houston, Texas, and we need your help to decide what to present. These Speed Sessions will be selected solely by the NRPA membership, so make sure your voice is heard! Starting on Friday, March 1, you will have the opportunity to review the proposals and provide your input on selection. The polls will close at midnight on Friday, March 15.

This is a great opportunity for new speakers to get their feet wet and for veteran speakers to present material in a new and unconventional manner on a variety of topics: anything from sharing marketing and program ideas to telling an inspirational story. Audience participation is strongly encouraged—presenters will have 20 minutes to get their message across, so creativity and innovation is recommended.

Proposal Parameters:
• Limit of one speaker per Speed Session
• No sales pitches of any sort are permitted
• PowerPoint presentations are not required, but are limited to five slides or fewer
• Speakers will not receive any compensation or registration discount for presenting
