The Future is Resilient Parks Lab will focus on forward thinking planning and park development strategies that cities can use to maximize the value of their parks and opens spaces to combat the effects of rising sea levels, flooding and more. To highlight how leading cities are integrating parks into their resilience efforts:

  • Attendees will work together to discuss challenges and opportunities with resiliency and help problem solve for issues from sea level rise, drought, flood, extreme weather and more.
  • Participate in a discussion with architects, landscape architects, engineers to talk about innovative new designs.
  • Through site visits, see how New Orleans is working to maximize the value of parks and open space.
