NRPA and USTA are working together to build healthier communities through tennis. For more than 10 years, NRPA has partnered with USTA to bring the Tennis in the Parks (TIP) strategic initiative to park and recreation. Tennis in the Parks expands opportunities in your community for the public to learn and play the lifelong game of tennis. For more information on Tennis in the Parks please visit www.usta.com/tip

The Game of Tennis is Now More Kid-Friendly!
Through the10 and Under Tennis rules, the same logic as other youth sports like baseball or soccer, which use kid-sized courts and kid-sized equipment applies. Kids learn to play baseball by first playing T-ball; they use shorter, lighter bats and larger, softer balls. Kids learning basketball shoot baskets with kid-sized balls on lowered backboards and they play soccer on smaller fields with smaller goals. Learn more about 10 and under tennis.
To register your park as a 10 and Under facility please visit http://www.10andundertennis.com/organizers/register-facility and follow the registration instructions.
USTA encourages all tennis organizations to become a member organization to begin or continue to receive benefits from the USTA. For more information and to register as a USTA member organization please go to http://membership.usta.com/section/Organizational-Memberships/122.uts

Tennis in the Parks/Military Outreach Veterans Day Initiative
Public parks have played a huge role in making tennis more accessible to children and their families. In fact, 70% of tennis is played on public courts and tennis is the only traditional sport that has shown growth over the last eight years. Sustain this growth by inviting military and veteran families to join your tennis community and host a Play Day on your courts. They’ll have fun, make new friends, and keep coming back for more! Use this Veterans Day Play Day Initiative Marketing Flyer to help promote your Veterans Play Day.
Register your Veterans Day Play Day TODAY!
