NRPA is committed to providing timely, accessible, cutting-edge training to our members and park and recreation professionals nationwide. NRPA offers a variety of workshops that are provided locally within your state throughout the year. These workshops are intended to provide professional development opportunities on a local state level so they are easy for all park and recreation professionals to access. The topics range from a customer service workshop to our Certified Playground Safety Inspector certification course.
Alternative Funding Development Program: this 1½ day program joins the public and private sectors in providing recreational opportunities, by providing communities with ideas that lead to the creation of self-sustaining recreation opportunities.
Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification course: The AFO training is a two day advanced, state of the art educational training program for pool operations and management staff in aquatic facility operation and management. The AFO course prepares the participants to take the AFO certification exam.
Building Customer Service and Winning Customer Loyalty: this 1½ day workshop will focus on concepts and applications associated with customer service, customer service recovery and building customer loyalty.
Certified Playground Safety Inspector (CPSI) certification course: This two day training is intended to properly train individuals to recognize and prevent potential playground hazards and prepare the participants to sit for the CPSI certification exam.
Leadership Development Seminar: This 1½ day seminar is an activity based workshop that will enable the participants to examine and develop their own leadership skills, as well as learn techniques to use in helping others to further their leadership development.
Transformational Leadership: This coaching and mentoring program can be taken at your own pace. It will help you develop the leadership skills necessary to address critical issues while insuring the success of you and your agency in the future.
