NRPA and Citi Partner to Revitalize Local Parks

New community service initiative includes nine U.S. cities and towns

Ashburn, Va. (June 8, 2017) — The National Recreation and Park Association (NRPA) and Citi are proud to partner on a new community service initiative aimed at revitalizing neighborhood parks across the United States. As part of this new initiative, local park and recreation agencies in nine U.S. cities and towns will work directly with Citi employees on a variety of community service projects for Citi’s 12th Global Community Day on Saturday, June 10, 2017.

The nine participating agencies include:     

  • City of Buffalo; Buffalo, New York
  • Columbus Recreation and Parks Department; Columbus, Ohio
  • City of Florence Parks and Recreation; Florence, Kentucky
  • Friends of Hemming Park; Jacksonville, Florida
  • New Castle County Department of Community Services; New Castle, Delaware
  • The San Antonio Parks Foundation; San Antonio, Texas
  • City of Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation; Sioux Falls, South Dakota
  • City of Tampa Parks and Recreation; Tampa, Florida
  • Tucson Parks and Recreation; Tucson, Arizona
