Leisure & Aging Section (LAS)
The Leisure and Aging Section (LAS) represents the field of leisure and aging. LAS members include senior center staff, recreation practitioners, activity directors, administrators, educators, students, volunteers and older adults. The mission of LAS is to help older Americans remain healthy and active through participation in recreational pursuits and to provide the leadership, advocacy and education necessary to ensure the availability of leisure and recreation opportunities for older Americans.

LAS Awards Program
LAS annually recognizes members and organizations that have rendered outstanding service to the field of parks and recreation with the concentration of seniors. The 2009 LAS Awards Program is no longer accepting applications. All recipients will be recognized at the 2009 NRPA Congress & Exposition in Salt Lake City in October.
