NRPA is committed
to the development and delivery of learning opportunities -- creating and
distributing research, standards, and leading practices -- to its members.
Furthermore, NRPA encourages a proactive learning community where agencies
share their diverse management and operating practices.
The Knowledge
Center is a recent addition to NRPA's Connect community.
In the Knowledge Center, members can view documents used by agencies around
the country. The ability to share information amongst
peers is a wonderful way to gather resources and stay up-to-date with best
practices and new trends in the field. Documents currently available in the
Knowledge Center include: strategic plans, accreditation standard
documentation, program guides, codes and ordinances, and much
more.
NRPA encourages all member agencies to share their relevant
materials -- if they are essential to you, they may be a great reference for
others. Once you have logged in, sort through the available folders and
sub-folders, and upload your documents, link websites, and add book
reviews.
Highlight: Fees and Charges
- Through a
recent member survey, NRPA learned that our members would like to see more
sample Fees and Charges Policies. If you have a Fees and
Charges Policy, please share that valuable resource and we will
gladly feature it in the NRPA Knowledge Center!
Recent additions to
the Knowledge Center:
- Financial Management > Revenue
Generation, "Fees Manual" (Three Rivers Park District, MN)
- Programs >
Special Events, "Special Event Planning Guide" (City of San Diego, CA)
- Programs > Program Planning, "Instructor Contract" (Tarpon Springs, FL)
As always, we welcome feedback and
suggestions. Please contact Hayley
Jackson with your input.
