Commercial Recreation & Tourism Section (CRTS)

The Commercial Recreation and Tourism Section (CRTS) was created to serve those individuals and businesses who are responsible for providing recreation services in commercial recreation settings. CRTS membership is comprised of individuals and businesses who are involved in the management, operation and recreational programming of, among other areas, resorts, health and fitness clubs, country clubs, campgrounds, theme parks, tour and travel businesses and corporate employee service programs.  Students enrolled in Commercial Recreation and/or Tourism curricula as well as educators in this field are also part of our membership.

CRTS Goals

  • To become the resource for those individuals concerned with the advancement and growth of the commercial recreation and tourism industry.
  • To involve all persons associated with commercial recreation and tourism.
  • To provide an opportunity for continued education related to commercial recreation and tourism.
  • To work with the structure of NRPA and in cooperation with all of its sections and branches.
  • To encourage universities, colleges and other institutions to promulgate and disseminate knowledge about commercial recreation and tourism.
