NRPA is seeking 5-8 qualified individuals to fill volunteer positions on the AFO Exam Development Committee.
This committee develops examination questions for the AFO program in compliance with the Job Task Analysis, a framework developed by an independent committee. Exam Development Committee Members will continually monitor, evaluate, modify, and improve the AFO certification exam. Members preform these duties to ensure the reliability and validity of the AFO certification.
This committee will meet via teleconference for a 2 day initial meeting. Additional teleconferences and meetings may be required. As an AFO Exam Development Committee member you will serve a three-year term in this position. Professionals selected for the committee will be notified by Friday, January 8th.

Qualified Candidates
Applicants Must Meet the Following Criteria
- Have five years, full-time experience in aquatic facility operation or related area.
- Successfully passed the AFO Exam and maintain a current AFO certification with NRPA OR be a current AFO instructor that has taught within the last 2 years.
- Must have maintained a AFO certification for a minimum of 5 years (one certification cycle).
Additional Preferred Experience
- Knowledge about professional certifications.
- Available for a two day conference call and 3-4 additional teleconferences after the initial meeting.
- Attendance to NRPA Annual Conference is preferred but not required.
