The Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism and Related Professions (COAPRT) adopted new academic program standards on January 1, 2013. This will be the first session offered specifically to train visitors qualified to participate in visitations under the new standards. All prospective visitors are required to attend regardless of the date of their most recent training. Programs scheduled for accreditation/re-accreditation visitations within the next two years are required to have a minimum of one a faculty member complete visitor training. This requirement and COAPRT's institution of a seven-year, standard review cycle, results in a need for in excess of 50 qualified visitors for the 2014-15 academic year.
