PRORAGIS (Park and Recreation Operating Ratio & Geographic Information System) is a national database that allows park and recreation agencies to benchmark with others, develop program planning, and enhance overall community operations.
Congress 2012 attendees visited the Community Center and started their PRORAGIS profiles. After signing into PRORAGIS, they were able to compare their agency to national averages on access to dog parks, playgrounds, and basketball courts, just to name a few.
Attendees who hadn’t already started their profiles were able to complete the QuickStart portion (20 questions) and were entered into a daily drawing, as well as a grand prize drawing at the end of the week, for one of several iPads NRPA gave away. PRORAGIS staff were also available to answer questions or assist agencies with filling out their profile.
Stay tuned for information regarding PRORAGIS plans at Congress 2013, October 8-10, 2013 in Houston, Texas.
