Olympic Day 2013
Join NRPA
and your fellow park and recreation agencies in participating in the 2013
Olympic Day. Sponsored by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the
United States Olympic Committee (USOC) Olympic Day events across the country
(in the month of June) promote fitness and well-being in addition to the
Olympic ideals of fair play, perseverance, respect and sportsmanship. More
information and registration is at www.teamusa.org/olympicday
Olympic Day participation is as easy as 1, 2, 3
1) Visit: www.teamusa.org/OlympicDay
2) Click the link “Host An Event”
3) Register for FREE by inputting your event information and
clicking submit!
Once you have completed these three steps you will
officially be registered for 2013 Olympic Day. The USOC has created a virtual
tool kit that will provide you with more information on Olympic Day. In
addition to the virtual toolkit, the USOC has account managers that are
available to assist you with any questions that might come up while planning
your event. The USOC will also work with nearly 10,000 Olympians and
Paralympians living in the United States, with the goal of having an athlete
present at as many Olympic Day celebrations as possible to share their
experiences and the role the Olympic ideals have played in their lives.
